“Zartepa” customs post on Uzbek-Tajik border to be temporarily closed
From November 5 to November 12, a temporary restriction will be introduced on the movement of citizens and vehicles at the “Zartepa” border customs post, located in the Urgut district.
According to the information service of the Samarkand Regional Customs Department, in order to create greater convenience for citizens, the buildings located at the “Zartepa” border customs post are being overhauled and its territory is being improved.
Therefore, from November 5 to November 12, 2022, a temporary restriction will be introduced on the movement of citizens and vehicles through this customs post.
The restriction does not apply to the following categories:
- employees of diplomatic and international organizations;
- persons who are members of official (state) delegations;
- employees of foreign organizations working within the framework of investment projects in our republic;
- drivers engaged in international cargo transportation;
- foreign citizens and stateless persons permanently residing in our country;
- citizens of Uzbekistan permanently residing in Tajikistan;
- citizens of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan returning to their country;
- third-country nationals traveling to Tajikistan.
Earlier, from September 5 to 16, 2022, the “Zartepa” border customs post was already temporarily closed due to the overhaul of buildings and landscaping work.
