SSS officers prevent drug trafficking in regions

According to the State Security Service, two citizens were caught while trying to sell 874 grams of opium for $18,000. The operative measure was continued, and a resident of the Urgut district of Samarkand region was also detained, who turned out to be the real owner of this narcotic substance brought from Tajikistan.

A native of the Syrdarya region, born in 1976, previously prosecuted for drug trafficking, went to the Akkurgan district of Tashkent region with his acquaintance, born in 1985, where he received two packages of drugs that were transferred by third parties from neighboring Tajikistan and hidden in a cache. They divided the drugs equally, one of them went to the Buka district, the other to the city of Tashkent. During the operative event, carried out by the SSS Department in the Syrdarya region and the regional customs department, one of them was detained with 988 grams of hashish in the Akhangaran district, and the other with 887 grams of hashish in the Yashnabad district of Tashkent.

In another case, a citizen living in the city of Kuvasay, with a previous conviction, was detained by the State Security Service while importing 1 kg 61 g of hashish, smuggled from Kyrgyzstan into Fergana for further sale. Two more citizens living in the city of Fergana were detained when they received 974 grams of hashish imported from Kyrgyzstan in the Kuva district and headed towards the regional center.

A citizen living in the Kurgantepa district of Andijan region, previously convicted of a crime related to drug trafficking, and his accomplice were detained while trying to sell 430 grams of hashish during an operative-search event in the Mingbulak district, Namangan region. It turned out that this drug, smuggled from Kyrgyzstan, was taken from a previously convicted person living in the Kurgantepa district, who was also arrested.

Currently, criminal cases have been initiated in all cases under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. Investigative actions are being carried out.
