Foreign Ministers of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan discuss development of bilateral relations in Samarkand
On November 17, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov in Samarkand on the sidelines of the international conference “European Union – Central Asia on interconnectedness: a global gateway for sustainable development” met with the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi.
According to the MFA, it was noted at the meeting that thanks to personal contacts, confidential dialogue and the strong political will of the leaders of the two countries, cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan has risen to a qualitatively new level.
An exchange of views took place on the prospects for further strengthening the Uzbek-Kazakh relations of good neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance.
The organizational and content aspects of the upcoming events at various levels are considered.
The importance of accelerating the implementation of joint projects in the areas of trade, automotive industry, energy, transport and logistics, agriculture and others was emphasized.
Issues of enhancing cultural-humanitarian exchanges were discussed, including preparations for holding the Days of Culture of Uzbekistan in Kazakhstan and events dedicated to the legacy of the philosopher Abay Kunanbayev.
