Law enforcement officers detain tax officials in Navoi who demanded $10,000 bribe for positive audit report
Two employees of the regional State Tax Inspectorate promised the businessman a positive conclusion of an on-site inspection of the cafe for money.
In the course of an operational event carried out by law enforcement officers, employees of the State Tax Administration of the Navoi region were detained while receiving the bribe.
It turned out that tax officials demanded $10,000 from the entrepreneur in exchange for a positive decision based on the results of an on-site tax audit conducted in a cafe.
They were caught red-handed while receiving $9,000 of the required amount.
On this fact, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 2, Article 210 of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan (taking a bribe). With regard to the officials, a measure of restraint in the form of detention is chosen.
