Direct charter flights may be launched from Germany to Samarkand
The Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abdukhakimov held a meeting with the President of the German Tourism Association (DTV - Deutscher Tourismusverband) Norbert Fiebig, the ministerial press service reports.

At the meeting, discussions were held on issues such as wide promotion of the tourism potential of Uzbekistan using the marketing resources of the DTV Association, launching direct charter flights from Germany to the city of Samarkand.
In order to promote the tourism potential of Uzbekistan in Europe and increase the flow of European tourists, the issue of implementation of the project “Destination Forum” (tourist forum of the largest and most competent tourist organizations, a member of DTV) was discussed.
At the end of the meeting, the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and DTV agreed on the development of a mutual media plan in order to implement issues aimed at strengthening and developing cooperation in the field of tourism.
It should be noted that earlier it was reported that Air Arabia plans to double the number of low-cost carriers at the base airport of Abu Dhabi next year, and accordingly, the company may launch regular flights to the cities of Samarkand or Bukhara.
