Uzbekistan Airports reports 30% increase in passenger traffic for 2024
Uzbekistan Airports closed 2024 with a record-breaking 13.5 million passengers served, marking a 30% increase compared to the previous year. Growth was observed across both international and domestic flights, as well as in cargo transportation, which saw a 23% rise.

According to Uzbekistan Airports' press service, the country’s international airports handled a total of 113,622 flights in 2024. This included 80,213 international flights and 33,409 domestic ones, representing a 33% growth compared to 2023.
Between January and December, Uzbekistan’s airports served 13,503,199 passengers. This included 2,480,359 on domestic routes and 11,022,840 on international routes, reflecting a 30% increase compared to the same period in 2023 (10,409,609 passengers).
Resident airlines operated 73,969 flights and carried 8,735,996 passengers over the year. Meanwhile, foreign airlines conducted 39,653 flights and transported 4,767,203 passengers.
In the cargo sector, 87,461 tons of goods and mail were handled, a 23% increase from last year’s figure of 71,314 tons.
Additionally, 2024 saw the arrival of 9 new passenger airlines in Uzbekistan’s airports. These include Spain’s World2Fly and IberoJet, Hungary’s WizzAir, Malaysia’s Batik Air, Poland’s LOT Polish Airlines, Qatar Airways, Turkey’s Ajet, Kyrgyzstan’s TezJet, and the Arab airline FlyAdeal.
