Nurmat Otabekov: 2,310 people were quarantined over seven days, 482 people tested positive for COVID-19
The number of patients with COVID-19 is growing again in Uzbekistan.
On November 23, during a briefing at the Agency for Information and Mass Communications, Nurmat Atabekov, Deputy Head of the Service for Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health, said that in Uzbekistan, influenza and acute respiratory infections are detected as a mix-infection with coronavirus, especially in people with chronic diseases and those who have not taken vaccines against COVID-19.
According to him, over the past 7 days, the number of coronavirus patients hospitalized reached 482, and 2,310 people were quarantined.
Currently, 539 patients are in hospitals specializing in the treatment of COVID-19, and the number of people receiving treatment at home is 187 people.
Age analysis of patients registered in the last 14 days:
- aged between 0 and 14 – 12.5%
- 15-19 years old – 2.1%
- 20-29 years old – 37.5%;
- 30-39 years old – 15.6%;
- 40-49 years old – 11.5%;
- 50-59 years old – 9.3%;
- 60 years and older – 11.5%
