Senate spent more than 1 billion soums on feeding guests of a 2-day summit
The Senate of Oliy Majlis spent more than 1 billion 56 million soums to feed the guests who came to the 14th summit of women leaders of the Inter-Parliamentary Union member states held in Tashkent on September 8-9. Assorted meat, smoked salmon and cheese on the dinner table cost the taxpayers about 90 million soums.
According to the Senate’s estimate of the costs of feeding the summit guests, 608 million 120 thousand soums were spent on lunch and dinner on September 8, 448 million 500 thousand soums on coffee break and lunch on September 9, totaling 1 billion 56 million 620 thousand soums.
The Senate’s Department of Building Use and Economic Activities concluded a contract of 1,056,620,000 soums with SKY EVENTS LLC through a direct contract for catering.
The most expensive dish on the luxurious table is the meat assortment, each portion of which costs 550,000 soums.
The Senate information service reported in response to the Kun.uz question that the decision on the costs of holding the summit was made by the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to the state register, Sherzod Sultonov owns 100% of SKY EVENTS LLC, which provided services on the basis of a direct contract.
This LLC won contracts worth 1.2 billion soums and 957 million soums not only for feeding the summit guests, but also for other services related to the organization and holding of the event.
SKY EVENTS was among the main service providers at the Tashkent International Investment Forum held this spring. At that time, the price of 1 portion of soup was 130 thousand soums, 1 piece of samosa was 70 thousand soums, and 1.5 liters of Coca Cola was 32 thousand soums.
