According to the official, there are about 300 oil and gas fields in Uzbekistan and the country won’t run out of resources for the next 40 years.
“Currently, there are about 50 billion cubic meters of gas,” he said.
He also noted that the country has uranium reserves, which, at current consumption rates, will be enough for the next 15 years.
“Each year, exploration work is carried out and new reserves of oil, gas, uranium and other raw materials are discovered,” Erkin Nazarov concluded.
