According to the decree of the President of Uzbekistan, Farhod Ermanov was released from the post of khokim of Khorezm region.
According to the presidential press secretary, he was approved by the Jokorgy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan for the position of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan.
Kahramon Sariyev, who previously held the position of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, was appointed to the position of the first deputy adviser to the President on issues of public service, communication with the population and coordination of activities of local authorities.
Farhod Ermanov was born in 1958 in the Amudarya district of the Republic of Karakalpakstan. In 1981, he graduated from Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers, and in 1996 – from Tashkent State University of Economics.
He started his career in 1975 as a worker of prevention-disinfection department of Mangit city, Amudarya district.
Farhod Ermanov was the khokim of Amudarya district in 1995-1998, the chairman of Mangit farm of Amudarya district in 1998-2002, the first deputy of the khokim of Amudarya district for agriculture and water management in 2002-2003, the head of the department of agriculture and water management of Amudarya district, and in 2003-2004 – the head of the district agriculture and water management department.
In 2004-2010, he worked as the Minister of Agriculture and Water Management of Karakalpakstan, in 2010-2018, as the khokim of Beruniy district, and as of April 21, 2018, as the acting khokim of Khorezm region. On November 30, 2018, he was approved as the khokim of Khorezm region.
