Project C.U.R.E. to send a new container with medical supplies for Uzbekistan’s needs
As part of his visit to Washington, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Vladimir Norov, participated in a fundraising event to support the Aral Sea region.
Within the framework of the event, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov met with the president of the charitable organization Project C.U.R.E. Douglas Jackson.
During the dialogue, the issues of further delivery of humanitarian goods to Uzbekistan and expansion of cooperation were discussed. Project C.U.R.E. announced that it is ready to continue efforts to attract donors from the USA to support measures aimed at improving the situation in the Aral Sea region. “Our fundraising volunteers are continuing to raise funds to deliver the next humanitarian aid containers”, Douglas Jackson said.
At the end of the negotiations with the head of Project C.U.R.E., it was agreed to send a new container worth $1.5 million with medical supplies for the needs of Uzbekistan.
Earlier, $3 million worth of medical equipment and health supplies were delivered to Karakalpakstan. In July 2022, delivery of four more containers with a total weight of 16.8 tons containing 2.9 thousand pieces of medical supplies to medical institutions of Karakalpakstan was organized.
