Uzbekistan ranks 21st in Global Hunger Index
In Global Hunger Index 2022, Uzbekistan ranked 21st among 121 countries.

The country’s index score was 5.6. The lower the index, the less the country is at risk of famine; in Uzbekistan, the level of hunger is assessed as low.
Seventeen countries at the top – Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chile, China, Croatia, Estonia, Hungary, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey and Uruguay – have index scores below 5, meaning the level of hunger in these countries is negligible.
GHI ranks countries from the safest to the most prone to hunger.
