Tura Bobolov resigns as governor of Surkhandarya region; Tashkent city prosecutor replaces him
By the relevant decree of the President of Uzbekistan, Tura Bobolov was released from the position of governor of Surkhandarya region.
The document states that he resigned due to his transfer to another job.
Ulugbek Kasimov, who worked as a Tashkent city prosecutor, was appointed acting governor of Surkhandarya region.
Tura Bobolov has been working as the governor of Surkhandarya region since 2019.
In 2017-2019, he was the first deputy of the governor of Surkhandarya region for economic and business issues.
In turn, Ulugbek Kasimov was appointed the prosecutor of the city of Tashkent in February 2021.
Ulugbek Kasimov was born in 1983. He graduated from Samarkand State University in 2005.
He started working in the Denau district prosecutor’s office in 2005, worked in various positions in the Surkhandarya regional prosecutor’s office, since 2011 as a prosecutor of the Prosecutor General’s Office, Kumkurgan district prosecutor, governor of Muzrabot and Denau districts of Surkhandarya region.
From November 2018, he worked as a prosecutor of Surkhandarya region, and in September 2019, he became a prosecutor of Fergana region.
