According to the State Security Service, Doc-1 Max and Ambronol drugs were not subjected to laboratory tests in the prescribed manner.
“Preliminary investigative actions are currently being conducted by the SSS Investigative Department against the responsible persons of Quramax Medical LLC and Scientific Center for Standardization of Medicines LLC in accordance with Paragraph “a” of Article 1863-4 of the Criminal Code.
It should be noted that due to the side effects of Doc-1 Max and Ambronol drugs produced in India, children who were treated with the diagnosis of “acute kidney failure” died.
These drugs, imported to our country by Quramax Medical LLC, were subjected to laboratory tests by Scientific Center for Standardization of Medicines LLC, and compliance certificates were issued.
“During the initial investigation, it was found that the responsible employees of the Scientific Center for Standardization of Medicines LLC violated the requirements of the regulatory and legal documents, and as a result, these drugs were not subjected to laboratory tests in the prescribed manner, low-quality drugs were allowed to be put on sale,” the SSS said in its report.
It was added that 2 managers of Quramax Medical LLC and 2 responsible employees of Scientific Center for Standardization of Medicines LLC were placed as suspects in the SSS investigative detention center. Similarly, customs control of drugs imported from India to Uzbekistan by Quramax Medical" LLC was stopped and such drugs were collected from pharmacies.
Also, the necessary measures are being taken to verify that the medicines belonging to Quramax Medical LLC are registered in Uzbekistan in the prescribed manner and check the actions of the officials in the healthcare system regarding this situation.
