Uzbekistan awaits clarity from Indian delegation on 'Doc-1 Max' case

In an interview with Kun.uz, Shri Arif Saeed, Counsellor at the Indian Embassy, promised that a large delegation from Delhi would arrive at the end of July and provide full information regarding the 'Doc-1 Max' case. However, the events on July 29-30 are only planned to include business meetings, with no open press conference or answers to journalists' questions on the agenda.

In India, a criminal case has also been initiated against the manufacturer of the 'Doc-1 Max' drug, which has caused the death of many children in Uzbekistan, and several individuals have been investigated. However, there is no information about the investigation or court proceedings being conducted there. Kun.uz visited the Indian Embassy in Uzbekistan and spoke with Shri Arif Saeed, Counsellor to the Ambassador, to obtain detailed information about this criminal case.

He emphasized that the delegation arriving at the end of July would provide complete information, addressing every aspect of the case.

It has been revealed that the Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil) has sent a delegation to Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan from July 21-31. Specifically, this delegation is scheduled to hold business meetings at the Hyatt Regency Tashkent hotel on July 29-30.

The open press conference and answering journalists' questions, as promised by the Indian Embassy, are not on the agenda. So far, there has been silence regarding the court proceedings being conducted in India.
