License plates worth 304 billion soums sold in Uzbekistan last year
In 2022, more than 118,000 license plates worth 304.1 billion soums were sold in the electronic trading system of the Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange through transparent online auctions.
According to the press service of the exchange, the average cost of one transaction amounted to 2.6 million soums. Reportedly, 91% of the sold license plates were purchased by individuals, 9% - by legal entities.
The most expensive license plate was sold for 348.0 million soums during the reporting period.
The largest number of license plates was purchased in the city of Tashkent, followed by Tashkent region, Samarkand and Kashkadarya.
It is noteworthy that 80% of the funds received from the sale of license plates in online auctions are sent to the state budget, 20% - to a special fund for the development of the material and technical base, social incentives for employees and other expenses of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
