Criminal case opened against a woman who threatened to kill electricity network employee for absence of electric power
The incident took place on January 16 in the city of Chirchik, when a group of residents gathered at the dispatch center to complain about power outages.
Social networks disseminated a video of a group of citizens protesting the interruptions in electricity supply, going to the electricity supply company and starting a fight. During the incident, a woman was seen threatening an employee of the enterprise with a knife.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the incident took place on January 16, not in Kashkadarya region as reported on various channels, but in Tashkent region.
On that day, at the dispatch center of the Chirchik city electricity supply company, when a group of residents protested against power outages, a 35-year-old woman resisted the company’s electrician, who took measures to prevent hooliganism, and threatened to kill him with a kitchen knife.
On the above fact, the Investigation Department of Chirchik city DIA initiated a criminal case against the woman under Paragraph “g” of Article 277-3 (hooliganism) of the Criminal Code. Currently, an investigation is underway.
