Number of cars moving in center of Tashkent to be reduced by 20%
The draft of the presidential decree “On additional measures to further develop the transport infrastructure and introduce a digital traffic management system in the city of Tashkent” was published.

The “Concept of increasing the capacity of the streets of Tashkent city with high traffic, introducing effective management of traffic flows and building overpasses” will be approved, which provides for the following:
ꞏ preventing the occurrence of traffic jams and drastically reducing their number by creating a system of effective management and distribution of traffic passing through intersections and highways;
ꞏ increasing the attractiveness of public transport by ensuring the priority of public transport in improving the infrastructure of highways and reducing the number of light vehicles in the city center by 20%;
ꞏ increasing the number of paid car parking spaces and directly reduce the level of use of private vehicles by organizing a system of regulated roadside paid car parking spaces;
ꞏ by changing the geometrical parameters of intersections, to increase the throughput of motor vehicles by 15%, to reduce the amount of damage caused by motor vehicles to the environment by 35%;
ꞏ increasing the digitization rate to 90-95% by implementing modern technologies in the design and construction of overpasses and intersections;
ꞏ regulation of cargo transportation on city roads by creating a system of stationary stations for the control of the weight and size of motor vehicles.
