Prosecutor’s office investigating death of newlyweds in Samarkand region
Social networks spread information that in the Kattakurgan district of Samarkand region, the newlyweds died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
According to the PGO press secretary Khayot Shamsutdinov, the incident took place on January 16 this year in the Altinsay village.
“As a result of carbon monoxide poisoning, a 26-year-old groom and an 18-year-old bride died. They were buried on the same day,” the report reads.
At the same time, no information about the death of the newlyweds was received by the internal affairs bodies of the Kattakurgan district and the regional medical association. During the study, it turned out that the relatives did not report the incident to the relevant departments.
An internal inspection has been appointed in relation to employees of the district police department, the mahalla and family support department, the family and women department, as well as the “Samarkand khududgaz” branch.
In addition, prosecuting bodies have studied the scene and are currently investigating the cause of death of the newlyweds.
