President appoints new commanders to Eastern and Central Military Districts
In accordance with a presidential decree, Major General Oybek Saidov has been appointed the commander of the troops of the Eastern Military District.
Prior to the appointment – since October 2017 – he headed the Central Military District.
Farrukh Ziyoboyev has become the commander of the troops of the Central Military District, replacing Saidov.
Previously, he was the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan.
Also, Colonel Lutfullo Buzrukov has been appointed Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
He had been working as the commander of the troops of the Eastern Military District since 2018.
