Uzbekistan’s Defense Minister, Lieutenant General Shukhrat Khamukhamedov, met with Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, during a working visit to Baku.
The sides described military cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan as being based on friendly and brotherly relations. They also stressed the role of such cooperation in developing and strengthening the armed forces of both countries.
The officials discussed cooperation in the military and military education fields, along with other defense-related issues.
Following the meeting, the Uzbek and Azerbaijani defense ministries signed the bilateral military cooperation plan for 2027.
