Prosecutor of Syrdarya region dismissed from office

The prosecutor of the Syrdarya region Sanjar Mavlonov has been dismissed from office. Earlier there were rumors that he was allegedly involved in a crime.

Hayot Shamsutdinov, the spokesperson for the Prosecutor General’s Office, told Kun.uz that “by order of the Prosecutor General dated March 10, Sanjar Mavlonov, the prosecutor of the Syrdarya region, was relieved of his post at his own request.”

Shamsutdinov added that rumors on social networks about Mavlonov’s possible involvement in a crime are not true.

Also, there is no information about what type of crime he was allegedly accused of.
