Saida Mirziyoyeva, head of the Communications and Information Policy Department at the Executive Office of the Presidential Administration, met with Jennifer Klein, assistant to Joe Biden and Director of the Gender Policy Council of the US Presidential Administration, at the White House.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the important reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan under the leadership of the president.
One of the main topics of the conversation was the protection of women from gender violence and the work being done to prevent it in Uzbekistan.
"In general, our communication was open and sincere. We discussed in detail the necessary measures so that the amendments to the Codes of Criminal and Administrative Responsibility of Uzbekistan, which provide for the crime of violence against women and minors, do not remain only on paper," Saida Mirziyoyeva said.
It is noted that Jennifer Klein offered practical help in this regard.
"Taking this into account, I think that in the future we will have the opportunity to further strengthen and expand our relations," Mirziyoyeva added.
