Deputy governor of Izbaskan district caught red-handed while taking a bribe

He promised to help in the purchase of a land plot in a protected area for 5.3 million soums.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the deputy governor of the Izbaskan district (Andijan region) for investment, industry and trade was detained while taking a bribe.

It is reported that the official promised to help a resident in acquiring a land plot located on the territory of the protected area for 5.3 million soums.

On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Article 168 of the Criminal Code (Fraud), an investigation is underway.
