Uzbekistan’s population increasing daily by almost 2 thousand people – Statistics Agency
During the first three months of this year, the population of the republic increased by more than 172 thousand people.

According to the Statistics Agency, as of April 1, the permanent population of Uzbekistan was 36,197,781 people.
The figure increased by 2.2% compared to the same period last year.
Thus, on average, the population of the country grew by 57.6 thousand people every month, or 1.9 thousand people - daily.
It is noted that out of the total population, 17,981,152 are women and 18,216,629 are men.
18,459,763 people live in urban areas and 17,738,018 in rural areas.
