On April 25 of this year, employees of the regional and city DIA held an operative event in front of an apartment building located in Davlatabad mahalla, Davlatabad district, Namangan city. During it, a resident of this district (born in 1980), with the goal of circulating counterfeit foreign currency, presented $3,900 to the participant of the event. The wrongdoer was caught while exchanging counterfeit money for $1,000, the Information Service of the Namangan regional DIA reported.
On this fact, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 176-1 of the Criminal Code.
