Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan begin construction of a joint car factory
The new plant located in the Chüy region will produce 10,000 cars per year at the first stage.
The construction of the “Altyn Tulpar Unaa Kurulush” automobile and commercial equipment manufacturing plant has begun in the Chüy region of Kyrgyzstan, the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan reported.
At the initial stage, the production capacity of the plant will be 10,000 cars per year, more than 1,000 permanent jobs will be created. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan expressed his gratitude to the presidents of the two countries and said that this will greatly contribute to strengthening the unity of the sister republics.
“Today, the friendship between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan reached a new level. Mutual visits serve to strengthen and expand multifaceted cooperation between our countries. This is a strategically important project for both countries,” Akylbek Japarov said.
It is noted that the agreement on the construction of a factory in Kyrgyzstan was reached in January of this year during the official visit of Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kyrgyzstan.
