Young man who tried to save a drowning girl’s life in Andijan dies
In Markhamat district, a 20-year-old man drowned while trying to save a girl who fell into the canal. The girl was rescued by other people, the boy’s body was found 3 days later.

A 20-year-old man drowned while trying to save a girl he knew in the Southern Fergana canal in Markhamat district, Andijan region, the PGO press service reported.
The incident happened on May 5 at around 18:00. According to the testimony of the witnesses, he went into the water to save his acquaintance, G.Kh. (girl), who lives in this district. The girl was saved by the people nearby.
The young man’s body was found 3 days later – on May 8 at around 11:30 in the part of the canal that flows through the “Polvontosh” mahalla of Markhamat district.
A forensic examination has been appointed. Currently pre-investigation check is underway.
