Presidential election campaigns to kick off on June 7
The Central Election Commission announced that presidential election campaigns will kick off on June 7.
The candidates nominated for the president of Uzbekistan:
— Ulugbek Inoyatov - from the People's Democratic Party;
—Shavkat Mirziyoyev - from the Liberal-Democratic Party of Uzbekistan;
— Robakhon Mahmudova - from the Adolat Social Democratic Party;
—Abdushukur Hamzaev - from the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan.
It should be noted that the Uzbekistan National Revival Democratic Party (Milliy Tiklanish) decided not to nominate a candidate in the upcoming elections; they will be supporting the candidacy of the current president, Shavkat Miziyoyev.
Presidential elections will be held on July 9.
