President Mirziyoyev congratulates Donald Trump on election win
The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has congratulated U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on his election victory, expressing hope for strengthened ties between Uzbekistan and the United States under Trump’s leadership.

In his congratulatory message, President Mirziyoyev extended warm congratulations, emphasizing Trump’s broad-based support in the election and his commitment to boosting the United States’ global influence and economic strength. “Your convincing victory underscores the American people's strong endorsement of your plans to enhance the U.S. role in international affairs and foster global progress and prosperity,” Mirziyoyev wrote.
The President of Uzbekistan highlighted the close partnership that has developed between the two nations over recent years, noting that U.S. support has been instrumental in Uzbekistan’s ongoing reforms and commitment to sovereignty and territorial integrity. Mirziyoyev recalled the pivotal meeting with Trump at the White House in 2018, which marked the beginning of a new era of strategic cooperation. He acknowledged Trump’s role in fostering unprecedented progress in bilateral relations, which have advanced with mutual trust and respect, and which now encompass areas such as trade, security, military-technical cooperation, and cultural exchange.
“Thanks to high-level exchanges between our representatives and lawmakers, our cooperation has reached new heights in terms of quality and substance,” Mirziyoyev noted. He reaffirmed Uzbekistan’s dedication to maintaining strong ties with the U.S. administration and fully implementing all agreements reached at senior levels.
President Mirziyoyev also emphasized Uzbekistan's commitment to strengthening regional cooperation through platforms like the “C5+1” framework and the U.S.-Central Asia Trade and Investment Agreement. He expressed confidence that joint efforts would continue to expand the partnership across numerous sectors, including diplomacy, economy, banking, energy, transportation, agriculture, digitalization, innovation, and education.
Mirziyoyev additionally underscored the importance of collaborating on peace and development in Afghanistan, stressing that stability in the region remains an integral aspect of the two countries’ cooperation.
In closing, Mirziyoyev extended an invitation to President-elect Trump for an official visit to Uzbekistan, expressing optimism about advancing long-term, comprehensive relations between the two nations. He wished Trump good health, success in his upcoming responsibilities, and ongoing prosperity for the American people.
