Separate bus lanes to be created on some streets in Tashkent
The draft decision of the Cabinet of Ministers "On further development of passenger transport system in Tashkent" has been announced.
In accordance with the document, it is planned to create separate bus lanes on Amir Temur, Shahrisabz, Shota Rustaveli, and Yangi Sergeli streets of Tashkent.
At the intersections of these streets, traffic lights will be improved by implementing a coordinated management system and changing the geometric parameters of the intersections, introducing passenger drop-off/drop-off areas for taxis, creating pedestrian crossings, and reconstructing public transport infrastructure facilities based on demand and need.
With the implementation of the project, it will be possible to increase the speed of buses and the capacity of vehicles on the roads.
