Shavkat Mirziyoyev expresses condolences to President of Kazakhstan

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent condolences to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the fraternal people of Kazakhstan in connection with the loss of life and significant damage as a result of large-scale forest fires in the Abay region.

The head of state expressed sympathy and support to the families and relatives of the victims.

It should be recalled that on June 8, in the Abay region, on the territory of the State Forest Natural Reserve, a forest massif caught fire. As a result of the fire on 60 thousand hectares, 14 people died.

Currently, about 1,500 people and more than 300 pieces of equipment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are involved in extinguishing the forest fire.
