Putin, Tokayev and Nazarbayev congratulate Mirziyoyev on his victory in elections
The elected President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev is receiving congratulations on his victory in the presidential election held on July 9.
In particular, Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Russian leader congratulated Mirziyoyev on the convincing victory in the election. As it was noted separately, the voting results once again showed that the policy of large-scale reforms implemented in Uzbekistan to further develop the country, strengthen its international prestige, and protect the rights and interests of citizens is widely supported by the people.
During the conversation, current issues of bilateral relations were also discussed. The leaders focused on expanding mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, continuing the pace of trade and promoting industrial collaboration projects. The heads of state pointed out the importance of further development of cooperation between businessmen and regions, and the continuation of active humanitarian exchange. The sides also exchanged views on topical issues of the regional agenda.
Later, Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The leader of Kazakhstan congratulated the President of Uzbekistan on his convincing victory in the election and wished him new successes, health and prosperity.
It was noted that the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan strategic partnership and alliance is consistently developing in accordance with agreements reached at the highest level. Particular attention was paid to the further promotion of joint projects on trade and economic cooperation. Opinions were exchanged on current issues of the international agenda and regional cooperation. Plans for future bilateral and multilateral activities were also discussed.
In addition, Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the first president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Nazarbayev congratulated the leader of Uzbekistan on his convincing victory in the early presidential election held in the country on July 9.
It was noted that the relations of good neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are steadily developing.
