Fire breaks out in a shopping complex in Bukhara; 23 shops burned down
A big fire broke out in the 2-story shops located on the roadside of Ibn Sina Street in Bukhara.
According to the Ministry of Emergencies, on August 1, 2023 at 02:05, the National Guard of the region received a call, reporting that a fire was taking place in a two-story shop located on the roadside of Ibn Sina Street in Bukhara.
At 02:07, 11 fire-rescue crews from the regional garrison and equipment of 7 cooperative services arrived at the scene. Reportedly, an area of approximately 700 square meters of shops was on fire, and the fire was completely extinguished at 03:11.
As a result of the fire, interior goods and ceiling of 15 two-story stores belonging to business entities located on the side of Ibn Sina Street were burned. 8 stores (total of 23 stores) in the 1-story trade pavilion belonging to the Bukhara Central Dekhkan Market at the same address were damaged by fire. 10,000 square meters of market pavilions and shops were saved from the fire.
No casualties were reported as a result of the fire.
The regional police and emergency departments are conducting an investigation. A fire-technical expertise was appointed to determine the cause of the fire.
