Uzbekistan increases EV imports by 6 times

In January-July 2023, Uzbekistan imported 7,391 electric cars worth $217.1 million from 10 foreign countries.
According to the Statistics Agency, the import of electric vehicles increased by 6,084 units, or almost 6 times compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, Uzbekistan imported EVs mainly from the following countries:
- China - 6,898
- Hong Kong - 376
- Germany - 64
- South Korea - 18
- UAE - 16
- USA - 11
