Security officials of CA countries, Russia and Belarus discuss use of drones in fight against drug trafficking
A meeting of law enforcement experts on unmanned aerial vehicles and innovative technologies was held in the Kyrgyz Karakol.
The event was also attended by UNODC Regional Representative for Central Asia A. Mitall, Head of the UNODC Program Office in the Kyrgyz Republic A. Seleznev, delegations from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia and Belarus, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported.
On the first day, an exhibition of innovative equipment technology was held. Further, the delegations got acquainted in the field with the practical application of UAVs and innovative technologies.
Within the framework of the meeting, a bilateral meeting of the Kyrgyz delegation with the Uzbek delegation, headed by Olim Narzullayev, director of the national information and analytical center for drug control under Uzbekistan’s Cabinet of Ministers, took place to discuss cooperation in the field of preventing the spread of new psychoactive substances, as well as drugs containing potent substances.
