The heads of the Ministry of Health and the State Medical Insurance Fund are personally responsible for completing the task on time.
Until the end of 2026, it is planned to fully introduce medical insurance throughout the republic. This follows from the presidential decree “On measures to further improve the activities of the Ministry of Health”.
The Minister of Health and the Executive Director of the State Medical Insurance Fund are personally responsible for the fulfillment of the task.
The document also provides that from January 1, 2024, the State Medical Insurance Fund will be transferred to the structure of the Ministry of Health, and from January 1, 2027, it will leave the ministry and operate as an independent fund.
The Supervisory Board of the Fund independently determines the providers (state and non-state) involved in the provision of medical services within the guaranteed volume of medical care, the volume of purchased medical services and forms its own budget.
