Court announces verdict on “Kompromat case”
A total of four people were convicted as part of the case. Journalist Khurshid Daliev has been sentenced to 7 years in prison, Mavjuda Mirzayeva is released from the courtroom after receiving a sentence of deprivation of liberty.
The Supreme Court has announced the verdict on the “Kompromat case”.
According to the published judgment:
- Khurshid Daliev is sentenced to 7 years in prison. He is prohibited from working in mass media and engaging in journalism and blogging activities for 3 years. Daliev will also pay a fine equal to 300 times the BCU;
- Siyovush Hoshimov is sentenced to 7 years of imprisonment. He is also prohibited from working in mass media and engaging in journalism and blogging activities for 3 years;
- Ahmadulla Ahmadjonov is sentenced to 3 years of deprivation of liberty;
- Mavjuda Mirzayeva is sentenced to 5 years of deprivation of liberty. She is not allowed to work in mass media or engage in journalistic and blogging activities for 3 years.
The court also decided that the defendants recover the material damage caused to the victims.
