Snow falls on Kashkadarya mountains
Snow fell on the territory of the Gissar State Nature Reserve.
At the observation points “Kul” and “Mingchukur”, located in Kashkadarya, at an altitude of 2 km above sea level and slightly higher, the air temperature was +8...+9 degrees. The minimum temperature recorded at the stations was +4…+5 degrees.
As Uzhydromet leading specialist Erkin Abdulakhatov noted, given that the Gissar mountain range is located at an altitude of 4.5 km above sea level, it is quite natural that the air temperature drops and snow falls in autumn.
Also, water in rivers and springs froze in the reserve.
