Tashkent to host first SCO transport forum

On November 1, Tashkent will host the first transport forum of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

According to the Ministry of Transport, the purpose of the forum is to strengthen cooperation between representatives of the transport and logistics sector of the SCO countries and create effective transport corridors.

During the forum, the parties are expected to discuss promising projects in the transport sector, including issues of implementing existing programs.

Reportedly, particular attention will be paid to strengthening connectivity, increasing trade and investment, and achieving greater opportunities for sustainable economic growth in the transport and communications area.
