Uzbekistan plans to introduce electronic archiving
Starting from 2024, the “Departmental Electronic Archive” information system will be created, designed for transferring electronic documents for storage.
At an AIMC press conference with the participation of the management of the Uzarkhiv agency, information was presented on the work done over the past 9 months, the main innovations in the industry.
It is noted that the National Archives of Uzbekistan and the state archives of the republic have digitized a total of 64.7 million frames in 972.4 thousand storage units.
According to the approved plan, since the beginning of 2023, about 11.2 million frames have been digitized in 110.4 thousand storage units and the plan was fulfilled by 107.3%.
The National Archives and State Archives of Uzbekistan have created a total of 48,434 funds, 47,625 lists, 614,556 storage units and 259,107 documents.
In just 9 months of 2023, the agency received 725 applications from individuals and legal entities. Over the 9 months of 2023, the republican archives received 447,361 requests of thematic and socio-legal content, the execution of which was ensured.
Research work on the organization of scientific work in state archival educational institutions was carried out by 2,777 citizens of Uzbekistan, 34 foreign citizens, and documents in the amount of 31,791 storage units were also presented to researchers.
