Following the 10th summit of the Organization of Turkic States, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev was awarded the Supreme Order of the Turkic World for his significant contribution to strengthening the unity of the member countries.
The anniversary summit of the Organization of Turkic States was held in Astana, at the end of which the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev proposed to award Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the Supreme Order of the Turkic World.
“I put forward the initiative to award President Mirziyoyev the highest order of the Turkic World for his great contribution to the strengthening of relations,” Tokayev said.
The Supreme Order of the Turkic World, made of white and yellow gold, is an image of six octagonal stars united by a large circle around the coat of arms of the Turkic Council. For the first time, such an order was awarded to the first President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, in 2019.
