Uzbekistan and Italy sign several agreements on cooperation
On November 10, a number of bilateral documents on the further development of multilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Italy were signed. This was reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.
In particular, at the end of the talks between Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Italian President Sergio Mattarella, a joint statement was adopted, which envisages strategic partnership and cooperation between the two countries.
According to UzA, the following agreements were signed between the countries:
• an intergovernmental agreement on the exemption of holders of diplomatic passports from visa requirements;
• memorandum of understanding on cooperation between diplomatic academies;
• interdepartmental memorandum of understanding on the development of public education;
• interdepartmental memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the fields of science, technology and innovation;
• memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of physical education and sports.
Earlier, the parties made proposals to develop a trade development program, to arrange a regional forum of the two countries and to hold its first meeting in Samarkand next year, as well as to organize a joint educational forum.
