A criminal case has been initiated against three citizens suspected of extortion and illegal trafficking in narcotic and potent drugs.
In the Andijan region, as part of a special preventive event “Dolzarb 40 kunlik”, persons suspected of extortion and other crimes were detained. In particular:
• Baykhanov Noufal Alisherovich (born in 1985);
• Umarov Umidbek Rafukjonovich (born in 1989);
• Mamazhanov Dilmurod Adkhamjanovich (born in 1961).
The detainees, who had previously been convicted under various articles of the Criminal Code, committed crimes related to petty hooliganism, extortion, illegal introduction of potent and toxic substances into circulation, and illegal movement of narcotic drugs in the region.
A criminal case has been initiated against them under Articles 165 (Extortion), 251 (Illegal possession of potent or toxic substances) and 273 (Illegal production, acquisition, storage and other actions with narcotic drugs, their analogues or psychotropic substances for the purpose of sale, as well as their sale) of the Criminal Code. Investigations are underway.
