Former Minister of Agriculture Aziz Voitov was arrested. According to the Kun.uz source, he is being investigated for economic crimes.
Aziz Voitov was born in 1980, graduated from the Tashkent Financial Institute (2001) and studied “Business Management” at the Higher Business School (2010).
Aziz Voitov previously worked as the board chairman of the SQB JSCB. From March 2020, he started working as the first deputy minister of investments and foreign trade (at that time, Sardor Umrzakov was the minister). In August 2022, he was appointed to the position of the minister of agriculture.
