Three tax officials arrested
Two officials of the State Tax Committee and the head of the Tashkent city tax department are suspected of having committed the crimes of robbery and job fraud within the framework of one criminal case.

A criminal case was opened against the head of the special registration of VAT payers of the STC VAT Administration Department and the deputy director of the Committee’s Tax Payers Service Department, as well as the head of the chamber tax audit branch of the Tashkent city tax department.
According to the Kun.uz source, they were detained as a precautionary measure within the criminal case.
Allegedly, officials of the tax authorities are suspected of embezzlement and misappropriation, as well as fraud.
Earlier, it became known that about ten officials were arrested in the last month as part of anti-corruption measures.
