“Geopolitical powers started moving away from diplomacy to open pressure” – Shavkat Mirziyoyev
On December 22, at the meeting of the Republican Council for Spirituality and Enlightenment chaired by Shavkat Mirziyoyev, it was noted that the pace of geopolitical development across the world is becoming unprecedentedly intense.
“We are all now witnessing that major geopolitical powers which used to protect their interests mainly through diplomacy, have now turned to the path of open pressure, confrontation, and conflict,” the president said.
According to Shavkat Mirziyoyev, such large-scale and extremely conflicting processes directly affect the Central Asian region and Uzbekistan, in particular.
“It is certainly not easy to find the right way that meets the national interests of Uzbekistan in such a complex and dangerous time,” Mirziyoyev said.
The president noted that Uzbekistan is trying to develop mutually beneficial relations with all countries of the world through diplomacy.
