Tax breaks for livestock farms extended until 2024
The tax rate on income, land, property and water use will be 50% lower.
Breeding farms have extended benefits for paying a number of taxes until January 1, 2025. The corresponding presidential decree was published on the Lex.uz portal.
According to the document dated December 25, state support is aimed at providing the domestic market with meat and dairy products and egg products, expanding the feed supply of livestock, poultry and fishing, as well as increasing private investment in the breeding industry.
Breeding farms will be able to pay 50% less taxes on income, property, land and water use.
However, enterprises will have to use the funds saved on taxes to develop their core activities.
The Ministry of Agriculture and the Tax Committee were instructed to inform breeding farms within a week about the extension of tax benefits and carry out explanatory work among them.
In August, the president signed a decree on the development of livestock farming. The head of state ordered the creation of 25 livestock clusters, allocating them $60 million in loans, and introducing subsidies for the import of animals from abroad.
