British delegation to visit Uzbekistan
On January 9, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the UK, Ravshan Usmanov, met with the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the British Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, Leo Docherty.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of relations between Uzbekistan and the UK and considered prospects for the further development of cooperation in a number of areas.
The sides also considered organizational aspects of Leo Docherty’s upcoming visit to Uzbekistan on January 10-11.
Special attention was paid to the issues of intensifying political dialogue at high levels, expanding inter-parliamentary cooperation, diversifying interaction in the trade, economic and investment spheres, as well as strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation, in particular in the field of education.
The parties reached an agreement to continue diplomatic contacts to discuss practical steps to implement the existing significant potential to expand interaction in the above areas.
