A blogger in Kashkadarya sentenced to 5-year imprisonment

On January 29, the Nishan district criminal court considered a case of extortion by 50-year-old blogger from Namangan region A. A., head of “Achchiq haqiqat” (“Bitter truth”) LLC.

The trial was held in an open format.

The court found A.A. guilty of paragraphs “a, v” of Article 165-2 of the Criminal Code (Extortion committed repeatedly, by prior conspiracy by a group of persons). He was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of 5 years.

It is noted that the blogger will serve his sentence in a general regime colony.
